I was commissioned by the Mount Isa Community Ensembles, Inc. (MICE) to compose a symphonic piece which would be the centrepiece of their event “Symphony Under the Outback Stars”. I was also brought on board to fly in and out of town regularly to hold percussion workshops with the students in preparation for the event. The symphony deubuted in Mount Isa, October, 2021.
